Restoring Europe's forests for climate and communities.
While Europe has seen significant reforestation, many of its forests are monoculture plantations. Our focus is on "rewilding" - restoring native, mixed-species forests that are more resilient to climate change, pests, and fires, and that support higher levels of biodiversity.
450 Million Trees
We are working across 8 countries in Europe to restore native forests, rewild landscapes, and empower local communities through sustainable reforestation initiatives.
Ukraine
Project Focus: The Emerald Network - restoring native oak, beech, and pine forests in the forest-steppe zone, enhancing ecological connectivity across the country.
Spain
Project Focus: Dehesa and Beyond - expanding the ancient sustainable "Dehesa" system and reforesting wildfire-affected areas with fire-resistant native species.
Ireland
Project Focus: From Emerald Isle to Forest Isle - reintroducing native Irish forests (oak, birch) to one of the least forested countries in Europe.
Scotland
Project Focus: The Caledonian Forest Returns - rewilding the Scottish Highlands by replanting native Scots pine, juniper, and aspen to restore a functioning ecosystem.
Romania
Project Focus: Carpathian Wilderness - protecting and restoring old-growth forests in the Carpathian Mountains, Europe's last great wilderness, home to brown bears, lynx, and wolves.
France
Project Focus: Regional Natural Parks - reforestation in Cevennes and Vercors parks to boost biodiversity and climate resilience.
Turkey
Project Focus: Anatolian Forest Restoration - planting native tree species across degraded Mediterranean and steppe regions, preventing soil erosion, enhancing biodiversity, and empowering local communities to maintain sustainable forest management practices.
Every TDTF token you hold supports reforestation and ecosystem restoration projects across Europe. Be part of the solution — restore native forests, rewild landscapes, and protect biodiversity.
